HELLO!
My name is Jacklyn, and I am a writer who is obsessed with all things technical. I learned HTML and CSS growing up, later combining this with my love of writing to major in English with a concentration in Tech Writing at The University of Memphis. I did a few online editing projects and writing internships before starting a 12-week front end development boot camp with The Iron Yard.
College taught me the writing side, but the coding boot camp - and my subsequent job as a Laravel developer - taught me the technical side.
I’m now working as a technical writer at a global banking software company. I create and edit user’s guides, installation documents, website content and more.

Scrapy User's Guide
A simple User's Guide I wrote about Scrapy, a web scraping tool built using Python.
The guide is written for users that are unfamiliar with web scrapers and technology.
It was initially designed to be used for college students in a digital rhetoric course.
Euronet Software Solutions Website
As a documentation writer at Euronet, I helped our Marketing team with writing new copy and editing existing copy for the new Euronet Software Solutions website.
The content ranged from basic "About Us" information geared toward casual users and potential clients, to more advanced explanations of our financial services and software.
Twine User's Guide
I created this website as a form of user documentation for the interactive narrative tool Twine.
The whole website is essentially a Getting Started guide with a few advanced techniques woven throughout.
Twine is one of my favorite tools, so I wanted to create something that other students or beginning writers could reference when they're working with Twine for the first time.
